Tattoo artist Melanie Morreale (also known as 'Mel') is also the owner at Rite of Passage, but above all else considers herself an artist.  She attended art school in the 1990's, and has been a professional tattoo artist for over 15 years now. From a very young age her family and friends have known her for her passion for being creative.  She loves all types of artistic expression including making stained glass, and doing photography. She has done all types of tattooing and has a reputation of providing a professional, friendly and clean approach to the art form. She really enjoys technical tattooing most of all. Tattoo artist Zack Carpenter, has a tremenous amount of experience as a tattoo artist for only being 23 years old and has been tattooing since February of 2009.   He  loves his occupation and has been trained with some of the best in the industry.  

He said "Seeing my dad come home with a new tattoo inspired me at a young age to pick up a gel pen and make buzzing sounds as I drew on my self.  I have known since I was young that I wanted to tattoo for a living.  Working a well paying job through high school gave me the opportunity to take the first step into the tattooing industry.  I love what I do!"

Tattoo artist Colin Day is from the Rochester, NY area, but moved away in 2001 to go to art school in Pittsburgh PA. for graphic design and illustration. After a few semesters at art school he decided graphic design was not for him. He got into tattooing in 2002 on the south side of Pittsburgh through a well established tattoo artist friend of his. over the next few years he tattooed on and off as he was traveling a lot at that time. in 2010 he stopped traveling and started to tattoo more and has done well over a thousand tattoos…by 2012 he had moved back to rochester and soon after was working at Rite Of Passage, Victor, NY.

Tattoo artist Andrew Hulling began tattooing in 2011.  His passion for art has always driven him to be the best he can be.  His grandfather was a tattoo artist for 30 plus years, and was a huge influence on him to get an apprenticeship at a young age. He began his apprenticeship as a junior in high school. By the time of his high school graduation the following year, he had completed his training and was tatooing professionally full time in Bath, NY. After working there for 2 years, he felt the need to further his carreer and move to a more popular location in Rochester, NY.  His favorite slyle to tattoo would be realstic color and/or black and grey. Some of his biggest influences would be Meagan Masscre from Manhattan, New York and Phillip Garcia from Port Hueneme, California.  He says "I would never change what I do. I am always striving to grow as an artist and learn new techniques.
